St Benedict's Physio ward, Nongoma
What a fun project this was- Nongoma, pretty much the middle of nowhere with no water or electricity on the day I arrived. No water continued all week as we are in the middle of a drought, but the electricity came back on intermittently throughout. Of course once it was done, you didn't need lights it was so bright!
The wonderful Thando Mapahanga, (pictured below!) had loads of requests- stumps, wheel chairs, plaster casts, walking sticks
and a full, life size skeleton so that she can actually show the children what they've broken/injured. What a difference a day ( or, actually 2 full days!) makes!!
